Shop around and get some quotes off insurance brokers. :)

Not online of course. And showing one quotation to another broker would result in price drop sometimes.

us? Im pretty happy with my recent quotes from "brand name" insurers. I always shop around, and ive yet to have to pay more than the previous year (excluding when I upgraded to a newer car).

FYI. Some punctuation would make your posts a lot easier to read.

    try nononsense.ie and 123.ie

every year i have to chance companies due to the fact the second term is always costly.
I have never got a better quote of the same company i have been with for the previous year.
Right now i have to laugh at the quotes 123,liberties are quoting me. 600 to 700 for a 1.4

People can tell you what they are paying for insurance all day long but it has little or no bearing on what a similar policy will will cost you. Insurance is just as much dependent on the individual insuring the car as the car itself.

Unfortunately there is no shortcut to getting the most competitive price and comprehensive cover without ringing insurance companies and brokers yourself.

As most people already mentioned, the best thing you can do is price around. But if someone in your household is already insured with aviva, then you should look into the aviva multicar discount (further 25% off for both of ye) and also add your spous/partner to the policy for another discount.

I paid E290 TPFT in 2013 with 123.ie, when I was 28 male based in south dublin driving a 2.5L bmw 325ci (4 years NCB IIRC), think I paid about E330 last year, renewal up in may...

My details are almost identical to the ops. I'm now a proud customer of "its4women.ie". It's an AIG policy and was 100 quid cheaper than anyone else on a 1.4 petrol focus. You don't need to have a sex change either.

I wouldn't take a free policy off them, because their ads are so infuriating. They managed to make a thick out of one of our best athletes.

Thankfully I don't watch that much tv and anyway 100 quid is 100 quid. It's a lot of money to me.

Try the AA. Their policies have pretty good step bonus protections for small amounts. Worth it in the long run.

Both myself & my wife pay the minimum with Aviva, €290 each on a Focus & Mondeo. Step back protection with low min excess. We've also our house insurance with them so we've discounts on discounts.
