    Hi

I've eircom Dsl 3mb Internet, it's the fastest I can get unfortunately.

But the problem is when someone else in the family connects to the internet it's causes my PS4 to lag and freeze constantly.

Is it possible to tell my router to send more of the Internet to my ps4.... so when something else connections to the Internet it'll slow it down.

Ps4 has reallly bad wifi. Cheap not a step up from the ps3, a step back.

You'd be better off with wifi plugs.

these will give you better speeds for gaming and downloading.

Its nothing to do with Wifi.

OP what you're talking about is QoS, but your own connection is too slow for that really to solve it. Your 3Mb connection will give about 2.6Mb downstream and 0.3Mb upstream, just about enough to game. Anything more than email will cause delays on your games.

You need to wait for eircom to upgrade the exchange, or get a second connection. Or ban your family from using then net when you're on.

The PS4 has a wired connection going to it

So there's no way of fixing it for a while? Eircom don't seam to care about upgrading my area anytime soon

Nope, simply too little to go around.

Ask eircom if they have any plans to upgrade the exchange to NGN.

I've switched to Vodafone home broadband, they can give me 5.86mb so I'm happy with that
