Best travel group to join alone?

Hi- I'm planning on a holiday this year on my own (friends can't go) and am looking into the option of maybe joining a group adventure. Does anyone know of any good groups I could join on my own? I've been looking into trips with g-adventures, but the groups they had seemed to include people from every continent and were a good bit older than me. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any travel companies that operate group trips and would be composed of Irish/UK people in and around their twenties?

I'm not sure of any group that meets your exact requirements. My experience is that all tour groups tend to be international grouping but English always seem to be language of choice. Contiki would tend to have the youngest age range- think they aim for under 35's. G adventures and intrepid would have a mixed age - in my experience anything from young 20's to 60's. On my last trip with intrepid it was the older people that we ended up socialising with more as the 'youngsters' didn't appear to be interested in going out of an evening/night!

I recently went on a G-adventure tour so I highly recommend! I think their YOLO trips cater up to the age of 39! I was also a little bit concerned about big differences in age profiles so I rang up to ask about the age profile of the other travellers in the group which they gave haha. It's nice to meet others from different continents as your learning about their country as well as the place your travelling! PS I'd be glad if there weren't a lot of travellers from the UK on the tour....the accent gets to me :p

Or just travel alone. To travel alone is to travel with everybody!
