    Hi folks,

Looking to take P3 in June, any recommendations on which lecturer to go to in Dublin?

Seen Owen O'Reilly mentioned a couple of times on here and likewise Shane O'Grady.

    So all recommendations greatly welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi Sundance Kid,

I can only comment on experience. I passed P3 first time around with Shane O'Grady and found him very good. P3 has quite a large syllabus ...so start strong.

    Best wishes

I passed with Owen, both P1 and P3.

He was brilliant. He was thorough and had a great sense of humour that made dull subjects alot more entertaining. His coursework was excellent and pass rates I believe are very high in his class.

I'll second that, did both P1 and P3 with Shane and found him excellent

Did ( and passed) P1 and P3 with Owen for December 2013 sittings. Found his exam techniques really helpful. The class is small as well

Another vote for Shane and I also believe he corrects the P3 ACCA exams too which gives him an edge in my opinion. Exam focused.

    hey

I studied myself for both P1 and P3 and I passed last Dec first time, over 60% for P1 and 77% for P3
i bought BPP books, read them, worked a lot with past papers
it saved me lots of money!

you dnt need any special techniques (very little calculations only in P3) for these papers
just good memory and common sense needed !

    good luck !

I did self study for P1 & P3 and passed.. The exams are very practical.. Unless your getting support from you employer than I would recommend doing as AnnaP79 suggested, buy the BPP materials and work away at them..

That is an exceptional mark for P3 77% were you placed @ AnnaP79?

    Thanks for replies folks.

Still haven't decided whom to go with and classes are starting next week. Will sign up for either tomorrow.

Unfortunately will have to pay for the course myself as only in temporary role.

I wouldn't have the discipline to self-study, fair dues to those of you who did :)
