Re-sealing a shower tray

A appalling job was done on the tiling around a shower tray in the ensuite of my house, by the first owner.

I have tried a few remedies, with new grout, and silicone, bit nothing seems to work very well.

What is the best remedy for this?

I would I be as well to take down and re do the last row of tiles around the shower tray?

Would grout normally be used for this or is some other barrier method used for sealing?

    Cheers,

    LD

A/if your redoing the last row of tiles, fit 25mm sealux seal and sealux silicone, clean tray with white spirits before fitting the seal,

B/if your not redoing the last row of tiles and there is no seal there already, scrape off all residue of old silicone, clean with white spirits and redo a bead between shower tray and tiles with tec 7. masking tape, white spirits and a spray can of soapy water will help you get a perfect bead

    Thanks mate,

    appreciate that.

Will investigate both possibilities, but the Sealux sounds like the best options.

PS: Checked out that Tec7 stuff and it looks the business. Think I'll just dig out all of the old **** and use that.

    Cheers mate.
