Leak in Hot Pressure - Pressure Related

Sorry for the title, I cannot change it.

I opened my hot press this afternoon to find a constant drip off a joint on the pressure relief pipe.

The system is a pressurised system feeding a solar tank. There are some is a pressure reducer on the line from the tank in the attic from what I can see on and a pressure relief also.

The solar panels are active today and when I looked to see what impact they where having to the temp in the tank I noticed the leak.

I was stumped for a while and closed off the feed into the tank. However when there was a draw on the tank the leak stopped.
Would the increased temp in the tank generate enough pressure to open the pressure relief valve?

Also I need a decent plumber on the northside of Dublin (Dublin 13) to sort this out. Any suggestions by PM would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi Gavin,

It might help if you could post a drawing or perhaps a link to some photos. I've spent many years installing solar panels, but frankly I can't fully understand your description.

Now I know that I'm thick, but I also know that I'm not the only one.

    Hi again.

I got a plumber out, eventually.

The issue was that there was an expansion tank on the hot tank (large solar tank) was no longer pressurised and the bladder had ruptured. From what I am told as there no longer was an route for expansion the pressure relief would lift when the tank got hot.

    Thanks
