This is free delivery to Ireland as it is shipped by Amazon and is over £25.
I just bought them, thanks to the poster for this BA.

I'd be interested to hear how these compare to a 35w or 50w halogen

I bought some from China and was quite disappointed

Thought Amazon won't ship bulbs outside the UK?

Always Parcel Motel or if you want to take a chance - the tried and tested BT11AA method (if free delivery to UK).

For 2 quid it was presumably halogen, and hence taking about 8x as much power - or if it was LED its going to be the cheapest Chinese crap possible.

It was LED for sure, might have been 1w.

They're certainly got enough lumens if thats what you're after but the colour rendering will be nothing like a halogen.

1w would be like a candle compared to a halogen

Seems Amazon will ship bulbs to Ireland as they were dispatched yesterday from Amazon to an Irish address, didn't use Parcel Motel as I availed of the free delivery from Amazon.

Just in case anyone is interested.

These arrived and I've very happy with them. They give off a better light than the Halogen's that I'm replacing although the current halogens are only 35Watt. The also seem to be very well made.

I have a question, I have 62 halogen 35 watt bulbs throughout the house and have been waiting to find a cost effected solution for replacing them, and these seem to fit the bill.

They replace the current MR16 without having to replace the transformers. And claim to have a life span of 50,000 hours - calculated at 5 hours per day, 7 days a week, that's 27 years. Even if they lasted half that time they appear to be great value and also claim to be mercury free.

Since these are Chinese manufactured, can I believe any of the above, what about the 6 watt claim, they could just print whatever they want on the box. What about the fact that Amazon fulfil the order, those this give them any more credibility, Any thoughts anyone??

They can claim whatever they like.
You could sign up for fulfillment by amazon yourself it doesn't ad credibiltity but it does make it easier to return when they fail.
I wouldn't contemplate replacing all of them with one manufacturer or brand especially a no/name rebadging operation.
