Two years left on sentence, it's possible rehabilitation efforts would be furthered by moving him to an open prison. That or they wanted him to leg it for a reason, perhaps they'd like to keep him in a bit longer. Lastly we've only a limited number of high security places.

The headline describing a 'manhunt' is nonsense. Loughan House is like a youth hostel, if they considered it ok to place him there they clearly aren't too bothered if he escaped since even as the article admitted, he 'simply walked out' of the place.

He was moved there from Castlerea Prison - isn't that the place where the killers of Jerry McCabe were 'imprisoned' and from where they were able to phone out for Chinese take-aways?

You really have to question the logic of some pieces of so-called 'journalism' - why would someone be put in an open prison, walk out and then there's a 'manhunt' to track him down?

A clichè; but never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

I sure he's raping and pillaging as we speak.

Pretty sure that's a cliché not a clichè but I'm acutely pedantic.

Use alt codes. alt+130 gives you é and alt+138 gives you è. http://www.alt-codes.net/

Thanks. Didn't know the technical term for thingy and otherway thingy until now. Always wondered.

Calling it a fada would be a grave error, as I'm sure most are acutely aware. But I imagine a certain amount of circumflexibility is allowed.
