BT Sport HD 1 and 2 are not working on my main Sky HD box. They are working fine on my multi room box. The SD versions are working OK.
I am getting the usual no satellite signal received message. It has been like this for a week.
Sky Sports HD channels working ok on both boxes.
    Any ideas/suggestions?
    Thanks

you could try taking card out and waiting for message please insert card? and after that you could try a reboot. after that ring and get signal resent

Thanks swoofer. Tried that with the card but no luck. I contacted Sky but after going through the issue they told me to contact BT as all the Sky channels working ok.
I tried Setanta support but they only work Mon to Fri so I sent them a message online explaining the issue and asking them to re-send the signal to the box so hopefully resolved on Monday!

Presumably ESPN HD doesn't work either? It shares the same transponder (11.604 V).

Does Bloomberg or ATN Bangla channels work? Both on vertical transponders either side of the BT one.

Yes ESPN HD does not work either. Setanta got back and said they re-sent the signal to the box on Sunday but no change.
Don't understand how all these channels work fine on my multi room box upstairs but are not working on my main Sky box.
Has anyone seen or heard anything like this?

Update: Channels still not working. Setanta have resent the signals a number of times to the box but no luck.

A no signal error would suggest an issue on your side. Setanta could resend signals until the end of time but it wont matter. If you connect the main box to the cables that you use for the multiroom box, do you still get no signal?

I will try that at the weekend. Just strange that the channels are working on the multi room box so no issue with the dish. Also and all other HD channels are working on the main box including all the Sky Sports HD channels.

Dish could be out of line slightly effecting the second box more than the first, longer cabling runs etc.. or some form of local interference, swap the box to the room it is working in and see...

can you check signal strength for both inputs just for clarity, i doubt they will be bad but one never knows

I swapped the box and it worked fine. BT Sport HD 1 and 2 and ESPN HD working. I tried the other box downstairs also and the channels did not work on that box either.
So the issue is with the connections or cables for the main box location. I suppose I will have to book a Sky engineer to sort.

Try and do it yourself, disconnect the 2 cables to the box and look inside, you should see a copper bit called the inner core and there is also an outer braid that is peeled back but sometimes the wires are so tiny one can be loose and touch the inner braid. That f connector usually screws onto the cable but if its crimped it wont budge. Also the connections at the lnb end can be wonky as well but that means getting to the dish.

It depends on how handy you are. NB switch off box at wall BEFORE you disconnect the cables as they carry a current to the lnb. Dont switch on until cables have been fitted back correctly.

look at this video for the idea, you dont need that adaptor mentioned at the end.

Are the cables to the box coming from a wall socket?
