Ford Focus Mk1 Misfire When Idling Only

    Hey Guys,

    Recently my Mk1 1.4l petrol focus was getting a tiny bit rough at idle and then after a few months had a check engine warning light come on. Upon bringing it to the garage, the fault code was for a misfire in a cyclinder and the coil pack/leads/spark plugs were changed.

    The misfire is still occuring but only under idle conditions, mechanic brought it out for a spin with me in it, and under load through all gears etc no sign of any misfire, however for example when you pull up and stop at traffic lights and she idles there is a misfire there.

    I should mention there was a vacum line replaced in it last year so we dont think its that.

    Any ideas ? There is only about 60k miles up on it and its serviced frequently.

    Mechanic is suggesting leaving it with him for the day and he will take it for a spin with diagnostics attached to try and see will it be able to pick up on what exactly is wrong.
