Does anyone know this car ?

It s a ford galaxy 2003 for 1450. It needs tidying up, two front tyres and the tracking needs to be fixed on it. Im getting a mechanic to check it but would like to know if anyone has dealings with the guy before. He has a couple of cars for sale.

I have to pay for the mechanic to go from Dublin to meath so dont want my time wasted.

    Link http://www.donedeal.ie/tools-for-sale/03-ford-galaxy-1-9-tdi-nct-4-2015-great-driver-/8617595?offset=19

    Thanks for any help.

Am I right in thinking he was too mean to pay to put the car for sale in the car section?

The covers on the seats look filthy, if that's how it's been presented for sale I don't think the actual seats underneath will be in decent condition.

If that interior is the seller's definition of clean, I'd hate to think what their definition of dirty is.

What a time waster. Drove all the way to virginia in cavan from dublin
Car was in bits, engine was alright but the outside had been sprayed with a rattle can.
It needed two new door panels, 4 tyres etc etc.rips in seats.
When the mechanic opened the door to get in part of the car fell on the ground. Bits of the car were falling off.
It was a good laugh but not worth it.

Says a lot about how much has been spent on the car if they put it in wrong section to save a few euros.considering the condition of the car Most likely the type that believes servicing a car is a waste of money and that you should just through in a bit of oil when the light comes on.

What did you expect for that price?

He has dropped the price since I called out. He did have it up for 1350.
I wasnt expecting a minter but it hadn't been cleaned in years. Loads of stuff broken inside, etc, complete waste of time.

There is another black ford galaxy for 2500 on done deal.
Guy said it was fine, my mechanic said it was not going from 3 to 4th properly. Automatic one it was.
Some time time wasters out there. You tell them you are bringing a mechanic and they still tell you the car is fine knowing full well it has issues yet still get you to call out.

I saved 21 cars on donedeal to have a look at.

    Phoned them all

    heres some stats.

    Irish sellers: 3

Claims of full service historys: 18, actual paperwork to back up 3.

Timing belt claims to be done 15, actual paper proof 1. (one said he had reciept but threw in the bin as he didn't think hed need it)

Buying a used car in Ireland is a minefield, and a big one at that.
