    Hey. Don't want specific details but how are the newbies in the Civil service getting on? Am due to start soon and I am a bit nervous. ... is the pay scale definitely on the first point? Is it weekly? Are we on a back week? What leave are we due? Thanks.

    I doubt anyone will talk as the CS is a big place and someone might recognise them. I certainly won't be talking about the job on Boards when I start.

    To be fair, the OP isn't asking anyone to dish dirt or name names - they just want some general info re pay and conditions.
