Its an odd question but anyone know of an avenue of sale/disposal of a large quantity of airline memorabilia?

I have been looking over the threads for mention of an aviation fair in Dublin. I thought someone mentioned it a few months back.

A colleague has come into an old collection. It is a bunch of stuff dating from 1930-1960. Mostly Aer Lingus related. Don't want to throw it out, would prefer to sell it to interested parties. Not sure of exact contents as haven't seen it yet. I'm told Imperial Airways tickets from the 1930's, old technical manuals for DC-8 and B720, timetables and menu's.

Obviously Ebay is an option but individual would prefer a more personal interaction. Do any Dublin antique shops trade in such stuff?

Haven't gone to any of these Tenger but this might be what you have heard... http://aviationfair.wix.com/aviationfair

Yea the aviation fair is held every November in the Carlton Hotel close to Dublin Airport.
Usually head up for a look and to renew my subscription to the Irish Air Letter; could be well worth your while holding out till November and pitch a table @ the fair...... great way to target enthusiasts who would enjoy the collection.

The memorabilia mentioned above is just what I am looking for. Will you be taking it along to the Dublin Aviation Enthusiasts Fair on November 22nd ?

Rather than dragging up a zombie topic, why not PM the person concerned directly?

I'm not 100% sure. The guy is donating some of it to Aer Lingus and I told him about the fair. Haven't been in contact with him in a couple of months.

Hi All, I have a large selection of aviation photos- professionally framed & prints. Modern and vintage models. I'm not sure what they are worth. However, I'm sure they would be of interest to enthusiasts.
I can email photos if anyone is interested...
    Many thanks
