I have accounting in NUIG as my number 1 on the cao, i chose this course as it has the most exemptions for accounting exams along with UCD I think? I dont think i'll get the points but I have commerce in NUIG as second, points are quite low, exemptions are also good and I like the feel of the college and the city. Have many people done accounting out of a general business/commerce course? And would you reccomend straight accounting or a general business/commerce? Accounting would be my favourite subject but also like business. What is best accounting course in the country or are they all more or less the same? (in terms of finding employment and education)

The course in WIT gives maximum exemptions of CAP 1. The class sizes are generally quite small. The lecturers are very approachable and friendly. It can be a challenging degree to get high marks in but the job opportunities are excellent. In fact, all the final year students currently have their jobs secured, with many of them going forward to train in large accounting firms like the Big 4. Also the college has a great relationship with PwC and EY, both recruit many WIT graduates.
