Lads just wondering if there's any tips for drilling into pvc? Putting a couple of sash guards on a side door using jack nuts. Need to drill 9.5mm holes for the jack nuts. Have a 9.5mm hss bit

Obviously keep far enough away from glass, wheels and locking mechanism.

    Measure twice drill the once.

The drilling wouldn't be into the door but to the side frame to the right of the picture.

Is there a risk of pvc melting at all?

A steel or wood bit should be fine.

Maybe start with a 3mm to ensure you get the hole exactly where you want it. Just let the drill do the work and you'll be ok. Put a bit of tape around the drill to act as a stop so as you don't go too deep.

    And keep your drill slow.
