Just wondering if anyone has any concrete knowledge of Ryanairs pricing strategy. Looking at flights to Lanzarote in June and they are around 210 a head. Would these come down at some stage or be part of a sale if I wait a while?
I always used to wait until about a month from when I wanted to travel and found the prices to be best. But more recently I have noticed their prices have just kept increasing.

They sell the first block of seats at X price, then it moves up in incraments depending on demand. If a flight isn't sold out before departure, then you may get a cheaper flight to get a bum on a seat and a chance at inflight revenue. The more popular the route, the earlier you book the better.

That sounds pretty accurate alright. Nobody really knows exactly how it works but this is probably the case. Thing is you never know how booked up a flight is so you either take a chance by waiting or just go for it straight away. In your case, Lanzarote in June is likely one of the more popular routes and times so while it might come down a bit, I wouldn't count on it really.

Do not rush. My research showed you can safely wait up to 70 days before departure. Usually they start with higher price to catch early bookers, but then the price will go down.

I am flying Ryanair tomorrow with my husband and son into Zanvantem(spelling ?) brussels main airport. Booked them 4 weeks ago and got flights for 3 of us for E120, I happened to look at same flights about 3 days later and they were priced for the 3 of us for E104. Wouldn't know what way they work, can be hit and miss

Brussels is a hit and miss destination for airlines, prices change a lot. More a business route than anything.

Looking at heading to Pisa in June (well to fly in there, will get the hell out of there after seeing the tower, passed through it once and wasn't too impressed!) - direct flight from Dublin is €115 currently, anyone know if that's a decent price for that time of year?

That seems good value for time of year.

They could either go up or come down :)

I priced flights to Spain earlier this year and when I went to book two weeks later they had increased by €300 (for four people). I've noticed on another occasion though when I booked the flights that they had decreased closer to the flyingi date, presumably to fill up seats!

You have to weigh up the options on whether you are willing to take a chance the prices will decrease or thake the risk that they might even increase or the flight be full!!
