    Hey,

I have a Steepletone RX1 Roxy One record player and have noticed it is playing slower than normal at the regular speed (33 1/3 rpm) and I don't know what the problem is. Can anyone recommend an electricals place in the city that might be able to take a look at it? Cheers

If it is a belt drive then as said above the belt might be loose. Happened on a nark deck I have. I removed the belt and put it in boiling water for 5 minutes. Belt shrunk enough to regain traction and pitch control back working. No idea how long it'll last but all good for now. I'll have to get replacement belt eventually though.

If it is under warranty, maybe get in contact with where you bought it or what looks like the UK supplier and see what they can recommend.

Failing that, maybe try Soundtrax, Disco 2000 or CP Tronix.
