Bushing replaced - still hear noise?

My car failed NCT as it has a bushing needing replacement. I had it replaced and the mechanic said otherwise the car is going well. The problem is i can still hear a noise similar to the bushing. What else could it be. Could it be the shelf behind the back seat, don't know the term

I am away from home and won't see the mechanic before restest.it must be something inside the car because he had a look underneath to see if anything else needed fixing

Or am i just hyper sensitive to any noise becuse of the bushing issue. It is a 00 fiesta zetec

Might not have changed the correct bushing,

That is probably it. A mechanic with 50 years experience replaced the wrong bushing. And has gone deaf too as he did not hear it when delivering the car back.

It is difficult at times to determine which bushing is making the noise and as a result often the incorrect parts are changed, regardless how experienced the mechanic is. I offered my opinion, being a bit of a d1ck with the sarcasm.

Shock top mounts rattle at a higher frequency than bushings, your mechanic (very experienced) would have noticed this.

It is not unknown for the nct to put down the wrong side on a fail sheet. I've seen it happen.

You were given advice and you kick off?

Tell you what. Instead of coming online and second guessing your super dooper elderly mechanic(which is obvious if he has 50 years experience), and jumping down peoples throat when they also second guess him, bring the fcuking car back to him and ask him to fix the knocking that is still there.
