    Hi all.

So today I downloaded Google Chrome Remote Desktop app. While configuring it I had to also download the Android app for my Sony Z2. I did this from my desktop machine and was asked which device I wanted to send the app to.

I have a couple of Android x86 virtual machines using Virtualbox on different computers which were listed and I recognised as valid along with my current phone and my previous Android phone, another Sony. However there was also a Samsung Galaxy listed as being in the USA which is definitely not mine, I've ever owned a Samsung device or been in the US.

I've changed my password etc. but I'm curious how that device could be there. There has been no unusual activity on my account and I received no notification of any unusual/unauthorised activity from Google.

Could it just be an error on Googles part ? Has anyone else experienced this ?

    Thanks.

    Ken

Did you ever root an install a custom ROM on the phone that made the phone think it was a Samsung ROM or anything? Touchwiz Rom?

And then sign into your Google account?

Did you ever sign into a mates Samsung Galaxy phone to check a mail or anything?

Only 2 ways I can think of that would cause that....

    Don't panic Ken.
I'm guessing you've probably been using the Bluestacks emulator with your account at some point. Bluestacks identifies itself to Playstore as a Samsung Galaxy. I have a SAMSUNG-SM-N900A in my devices list too from Bluestacks, but never owned a Galaxy Note 2.
