question for Junior cert experts please

    Hello, where can I find information on the junior cert please? My son will be sitting the Junior cert next year and I need to get my head round this.
    syllabus, exams, times per question, types of question on the papers, need for specialised notes, grinds, percentages for orals etc.

    I'm totally in the dark as to where to start. Any advice appreciated:o

    www.examinations.ie has past papers, marking schemes, statistics for all exams for the past decade or so.

    There is no need for a child to get grinds, particularly for Junior Cert.

    There is no set time per question - that depends on the child.

    Please don't put too much pressure on him. The exam is designed for success and most children do much better than they expect.
