Looking for a laptop for around 1k

I currently have a desktop and Macbook Air and am considering selling both and buying a new laptop.

Ideally I'd like 8gb ram minimum, i5 processor or better, Windows 7 and a 500gb minimum SSD.

Is there anywhere that does good priced laptops for around the 1k mark, give or take a few euro. I tried a couple of custom build sites but this spec was running over the 1.5k mark.

The main use of the laptop is for a mix of web/graphic design and music production/djing so it doesn't need to be gaming quality, just something that can handle multiple programmes open at once quickly and have plenty of usb/audio ports.

There's not many will ship with Win7 nowdays. Also, 512gb SSD will ramp the cost up massively, SSD ain't cheap.

A 512GB SSD costs around €500 on its own. So you are essentially looking for a laptop worth €500 with an 512 SSD thrown in. Good luck with that.

You could look at a laptop with 2 SATA or 2 m.2 slots and get a dual-256Gb setup.
They're running around 110euro apiece now.

Also you can buy laptops without an OS on Amazon.DE; as well as a Windows 7 OEM disc.
