Taken from The Gentlemen's Club, this video was in a thread over there:

Any feedback from the car folk? In fairness, the guy with the teddies needs to be brought to a few 6-nations matches or something. I'd even tell a woman to "man up a bit" for that lark! :P

I would be intereseted to see the manly fleet of cars the staff at my local McDonalds have.

Fairly sure that's just a set up for advertising.

You wouldn't really do that in Tallaght with certain client and tell in the area.

Anyway, idiots working in Mcdonalds , what cars do you drive ?

To me it's the equivalent of tellings girls that their car isn't pink enough, outdated bull crap

What's not manly about a 406 in fairness?
    Micra's are shít though.

There have been plenty of examples of employees starting in McDonalds or similar, and going on to do very exceptional things. Its wrong, in my opinion, to brand someone as an idiot if they work there. The way I see it, its someone out earning a wage as opposed to living off the State clippings of mine. Its also around the €9 p/h mark now, so its better than most places.

You never know who is across the counter and often the floor staff see things that the manager never does. McDonalds, as a corporation, actually has some brilliant thinkers at all levels. As a process, its Engineering perfection. As a brand, its a marketers dream. There is plenty of scope there for the avid entrepreneur to learn so much.

Zero hours contracts are absolutely scummy though - genius for the company's accounts but completely reprehensible.

That's what I thought. Then I realised he was mocking it because it was old. Driving and maintaining an old car long past when most might have given up on it seems inherently 'manly' to me. You know, something about a bloke and his wheels and so on. If it's a D turbo then it's got extra man points. Also MK2 Focus? Nothing wrong with that either. Decent chassis, good loooking car.

Does he mean girl's car to mean any car that isnt a saloon or something?

I think he was struggling for proper girls cars coming in, so started targeting those other guys. The Focus is a very unisex car. I'd say something if it was a pink Ka!

Fairly cringey tbh - hey lads, if you're car isn't manly then by default neither are you.

Don't get me wrong, I like a good looking car but it doesn't define me, it presents an image.

Fairly sure that's just a set up for advertising.

I hate to be that guy but it's clientele...I hope this stands to you in the future :)

    Damn you auto correct !

But it just seemed like all the people in the cars were staff off Mcdonalds in the mams cat or a company car (yellow Smart for two ? Really ?)

A left hand drive one at that. Although you could reach from the wrong side of a Smart to the counter. Different story if you had an LHD S-Class!

Didn't watch the video but it sounds crap anyways.

I can do that on my car and recently I put down the parcel shelf from the drivers seat. :pac:

406 is about as understated and manly as they come.

Oh what terrible humour... Wonder do they even own a car

The ex hated my red 406, said it was too smokey, loud and bumpy. Tell me that isn't manly :p

Meh, bit of craic, nothing overly offensive about it. If you drive around in a Micra or with your windscreen lined with teddies, I doubt you give too much of a sh1te what other people think.

If it was a homemade video fair enough, but they're representing a huge global brand.
