the secondhand camera i bought is in great condition however i would like to clean it up a bit, just dust in the tight crevices and general sweat etc on the grips, would a type of alcohol wipe be best?

Blue-tac - push it into the crevices and it will remove every spec of dust.

I use iso alcohol, easily gotten in maplins etc in 1/2 L tins, lint free cloths and cottonbuds.

Don't use iso alcohol around any glued on bits like rubber as it can loosen the glue IME if you use to much.
