Redundancy, JB and Evening Course

    i've been recently made redundant from my job and am in the process of claiming for JB. However, I am having trouble getting final redundancy figure from employer for DSP. I have 7 days but I am not due to get redundancy payment for 10 days at least. If I don't get this figure on time, does that mean I will have my application cancelled and I need to reapply? Will telling DSP that I requested for it without getting response be sufficient for extending my application until I do get the figure?

    On another note, I am interested in attending a training course running one evening a week that is not a SOLAS course. I will be job searching during the day too. Will attending this course affect my claim? Do I need to inform DSP?

    1. Let them know that you are having difficulty getting the info from your former employer and ask for an extension of two weeks.
    2. The evening course will not affect you claim but its best to inform DSP and bring in info from the course provider stating that its 1 evening a week.
