Enjoyably I was recently nominated to spend 70 euro, tenner a man, on a 30th birthday present for an acquiantance. I'm approaching the end now, really enjoyed it. I've taken it very seriously and have tasted every beer personally.

2 x kinsale black IPA (not one i like tbh but it's got such great reviews and is such an individual beer)
2 x mountain man hairy goat (love)
2 x o'hara's double ipa (strong but lots of good flavour)
2 x franziskaner (classic, probably not a craft beer but it was on offer)
2 x smithwicks pale ale (this is what i drink in pubs as it's the most available)
2 x barefoot bohemmian (i lied, this is the only one i haven't tatedm but good recommendations)
2 x full sail galway brewery (only ok, but i wanted to focus on irish beers)
2 x wells banana bread beer (on offer in tesco and i love it)
2 x youngs double chocolate porter (also on tesco offer and i recently enjoyed it)
2 x bru ri (love the cleverness of the name)
2 x galway hooker (recomended by a friend and pleasant)

I've got 10.28 left to go, thinking 2 x howling gale pale ale and o'hara's leann follainn, but i haven't tried either so open to suggestions.

This is more about how pleased i am with my work and have other people done similiar presents?

I'd drop the O'Haras double IPA and get

    Galway Bay Foam and Fury
    Kinnegar Blackbucket
    O'Hara's leann follainn

Prob have some change left over for an 8 degrees

You've no stouts/porters in there so i'd go for Leann Folláin as you were thinking and perhaps a few porterhouse wrasslers or plain porter.

I've heard great things about the of foam and fury and I'm definitely gonna get some for myself soon, but for the present it blows the budget, it's about 2.50 more than the o'hara's. As I say, I'm definitely gonna get it for myself in the next week or 2

    perhaps a few porterhouse wrasslers

I'd never heard of these, just googled them, they have to go on the list, look great. I just have to find an off licence that stocks them. The youngs double chocolate porter is in there but I have neglected porters. I tried dungarvan coffee and oatmeal stout and wasn't overly impressed, same with Trouble Brewing Dark Arts Porter. I was disappointed as I'm a Murphys drinker. I'm thinking of Bru Brewery (Dubh Nitro Stout), if anyone can advise

    Galway Hooker stout is excellent.

Had the leann follain for the first time just tonight. Great stuff, it will be a future regular

I'd prefer to get one bottle or can of everything rather than two, twice as many different beers, but that's just me :D

you should find the Bru stout in Aldi for around the €2.80 mark
