Pardon my stupidity on this guys but have a diesel car for a few days while my own is getting repaired. Went to put some diesel in today and nozzle kept cutting out as if the tank was full is there something I'm missing or not doing right!? Again apologies for the stupidity!!

might just have been a crap pump, sometimes if its not pumping full speed you have to be gentle with it, or maybe you hadn't it in right and it was splashing back onto the pump causing it to shut off... more likely a crap pump though

Pump was just airlocked. If you hold the pump head at a lower level to the cradle it will self clear via the vent at the front of the pump. Takes about 30 seconds.

Can be common if the tanks are manifold. Its nothing to worry about.
