Warranty on cash and carry kitchens.

    Could anyone tell me how long is the warranty with a cash and carry kitch? I've searched online and can see on the results that it says 10 years but when I click on the website I can't see it written anywhere.
    I'm having problems with the kitchen I purchased 2 years ago. I had a issue last year and they came and fixed it no problem but that was within 1 year of purchase. Just wondering if I'm going to face hassle in getting this issue sorted out.
    Thanks.

    This doesn't really answer your question but within six years or purchase (statue of limitations for simple contracts) you will have recourse for a reasonable repair to a reasonable fault. There are no hard and fast rules but a kitchen should obviously last a considerable amount of time, so if you do get the out of warranty speil it's always worth going down the small claims route.

    I had an issue within a year, contacted them asking what the warranty period was but they never responded, fond them quite rude to be honest and the guy I spoke with was not a customer service person. They never told me after numerous times contacting them.

    It's our second kitchen, the first one was fab, second turned out to be a really large job, new house, got them in early, not Been happy since day one, very amateurish problems, but appalling after service.

    Most certainly would never recommend them due to their sexist remarks, wanted to know if I had a husband who could fix their small problems instead of sending out someone.

    Good luck, I'm still waiting ...

    Sounds like a nightmare but the guy sounds similar to the one I was dealing with. He talked to me like a little girl playing house or something (I look very young) until I came up with the money. A lot of the doors have become misaligned. Forgot to ring today will update with the response I get. It's only a small thing but it's bugging me.

    Put your queries in writing, no point in trying to deal with this issues over the phone.

    My first instinct was to phone them, after it was asked if I had a husband who could do all outstanding jobs I wrote to them, 3 times to no avail. Then I wrote to head office and eventually got a response,

    But follow up customer service is not a big thing, no one ever contacted me to see if I was happy or not.

    I have to reiterate they fitted a kitchen 12 years ago, which was perfect, kitchen fitter the best. That kitchen was great and I did ask for the same guy the second time as we were building, but seemingly he was unavailable.

    So in my case it was not just a phone call

    They dont have there own fitters there all sub contractors so as they say when there gone there gone,
    The misaligned doors is a hard one they should all be fine before they leave and for some time after but I think after two years it might be a hard one to win in court, it might be considered maintenance as with the doors opening and closing everyday I think this will happen.
    Maybe Im wrong:confused::confused::confused:

    Just an update to this. Rang them on Monday and they said they would pass on message to fitter. Didn't hear anything so rang back on Friday. About 5 minutes after hanging up the fitter rang me and arranged to come the next day to fix the problem. He showed up on time and all doors are back to normal free of charge.

    All in all happy enough with their aftercare.
