    Hey Guys,
if you could give me some advice, it would be great,

i believe i really need to upgrade my motherboard,

    currently i have:

    Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz Socket LGA1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor

    ATI HD7890

Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L P55 Socket 1156 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard

i put in 1600mhz ddr3 ram, but its only showing as 1066 in bios.

Could you please advise on a decent motherboard to get to help bring my machine up, which can accommodate what I have above.

    Thanks for the help!

budget is 100, preferably incl delivery, but can stretch for delivery.

    Your board supports the ram.

Could save money finding out why.

    Did you set the timings?

BIOS AI Overclock Tuner -> XMP, by default use the Profile 1 (F10 Save & Exit = Yes) which will set the DRAM Frequency, CAS Timings, DRAM Voltage.

    7890 is that a 7870?
