Anyone know how much money it would cost to do a full clutch replacement on a 1.4 petrol 99 Ford Focus?

i would agree, all depends on how much needs to be done like is the clutch slipping and for how long , is the flywheel damaged as a result,
And are you going main dealer or independent garage

Could a flywheel be damaged by driving with slipping clutch for too long?
I understand you mean that friction surface of flywheel would be worn.
I never heard of such possibility, that's why i'm double checking

The friction material is normally held on by rivets sometimes glue though.
When this material wears away you are down to the rivets. The rivets will gouge the flywheel. A lathe should fix it
