selecting building stone

    Hi,

Not sure if this is in the forum (probably falls under exterior decorating!) but I'm looking for recommendations for selecting the type of stone for a stone facade on a new build.

We have dark grey windows, white sand walls, stainless steel grey guttering and black slate. I don't think browns, reds, orange sandstone particularly suits, so was thinking of dark black/blue limestone.

Can anyone recommend a particular type that you think may be suitable? I'm looking at a Co. Laois based building stone provider, but they only offer two limestones, both of which have a lot of white and brown colours running through them.

    Any suggestions or ideas?

    Patrick
