My son who is 21 and in his first year of his masters has just been refused the student grant because my income and my wife,s gross income is €900 over the limit. We are appealing the decision , but not quite sure as to what grounds to use. Our expenditure for various surgeons operations has effected our spending power and we will be struggling to help him financially. He is living on campus and we paid €1800 in the last few weeks , which I borrowed.
