By return trip, you mean the total time spent per day commuting? So if's an hour in and an hour out, put down 120?

Yup, up to you whether you put 90-120 or 120-150. perhaps I should have made it 121-150, but it doesn't really matter. I would presume that your commute is generally just under 2 hours or just over 2 hours.

on the further end of 60/90, but that includes dropping the kid off to chreche. Without that, would be closer to 60.

20 minutes from Glasnevin to Damastown each way, so 40-45 minutes.

Interesting spread so far. It would have been nice to compare to 5 or 10 years ago. Still no one working from home, which is surprising.

Would this get a larger response in another forum. What do you think? Move it, leave it?

Mines far less (but far dearer) if I drive than the train so I alternate depending on weather, times, etc. Went for the train time though

lots of people would work from home on some days and commute on the others but there's no option for that in the poll

people who work from home 100% of the time aren't going to have a lot of interest in the Commuting forum.

Average it out perhaps? The poll can't cater for every scenario.

    2 days at home = 0 hours
    3 days commuting = 60 mins/day = 180 mins

average daily commute in a week = 36 mins, so 30-60 mins.

It's a poll to get a rough idea of what commuting times are these days.

You could always start another poll asking the number of days worked at home vs the traditional 5 days "in the office". Has there every been a poll like this?
Later correlate the data against the above poll.

With broadband speeds improving (in some parts of Ireland), the new poll would have looked very different 5 or 10 years ago.

Checking with a Mod if the poll can be moved.
