As title says - looking for places to stay - rural mostly - anywhere in Ireland with good local walks/hikes.
    Thank You

The Dolphin Hotel in Inishbofin - http://www.dolphinhotel.ie/ You request the dog friendly room when booking. Friends stayed here with their dog last summer, they were happy with their stay, the dog even happier!

There are loads, we're making our way through them all! :)

Personal favourites for both the dog friendly and location are Sneem Hotel in Kerry and The Waterfront Hotel in Baltimore, West Cork. They really love their dogs in both of those hotels and they're in really beautiful parts of the country with loads of other great towns, beaches, things to do nearby.

This is what we use. Tick the dog friendly option, there's plenty to choose from: http://www.ireland-guide.com/places-to-stay-pet-friendly.html

I second the Dolphin on Inisboffin and the Waterfront in Baltimore. Another lovely one is Pax B&B in Dingle (dog biscuits each night for your canine pal(s)!).
The Leenane Hotel at Killary Harbour in Connemara is also dog-friendly...

The Friars Lodge in Kinsale (just around the corner from the famous Fishy Fishy) has always treated us and our canine scroungers fantastically on each of our visits:

Just make sure that these places don't have restrictions on the size of the dog they will accept, as many will only allow small dogs

Pax House in Dingle gets a huge thumbs up from me. Luxury for you and the dog.

You can filter AirBnB listings to only show those that accept pets. When you're searching click on the 'more filters' part above the listings and then go to the 'Amenities' section
