Hi all, I was hoping someone might know if two friends currently living separately, both receiving rent allowance, could lease a house together and both continue to get their allowance. My friend and I are both having issues with disruptive neighbours and its so hard to find somewhere within the allowed limits that suits…

Hi all,
I was hoping someone might know if two friends currently living separately, both receiving rent allowance, could lease a house together and both continue to get their allowance.
My friend and I are both having issues with disruptive neighbours and its so hard to find somewhere within the allowed limits that suits our needs so we were thinking of maybe trying to get a house together to solve the problem.
I'd appreciate any advice anyone is willing to share tia :-)

You might try asking in the State Benefits forum - the people there have more practical experience of DSP's most recent decision making.
