Willie Frazer pressing ahead with Dublin march

Victims’ campaigner Willie Frazer is planning another Dublin march for victims – in protest at the Irish government’s failure to cooperate with an inquest into the 1976 IRA Kingsmills massacre.A rally in Dublin in 2006 led by Mr Frazer was abandoned after stones and fireworks thrown by republican demonstrators lead to 41 arrests.

Dublin city councillor Jim O’Callaghan of Fianna Fail tabled a motion earlier this week to call for the 2015 march to be cancelled. However, the council voted to postpone their vote until next month.

Mr Frazer told the News Letter: “We are meeting the guards on Monday to arrange a date for the parade to go ahead. The reason for holding it is because the government has refused to give any information to the Kingsmills inquest in Belfast for a whole year. This is an attempt to get movement.

“We met the Taoiseach two years ago in Dublin and he said he would call with us in two or three weeks in Markethill because he was close to our offices regularly. But we have not heard anything since, and we only get acknowledgments to our requests.”

Wee Willie is determined to march in Dublin. The cooont would love a repeat of the Love Ulster parade '06. Then he could return, play the victim and use it as evidence that a United Ireland would never work. He thrives on this crap.

He's danced this dance with Dublin city council and the Gardai before. Why don't they sidestep the little guttersnipe. Take him out of the equation altogether. Have a Love Ulster festival based in Dublin city centre. Invite tourist organisations and businesses from Ulster to get involved. Invite local food producers down to show off their wares. Invite artists, cultural groups and local representitives.

If it goes well, branch out to Cork, Galway and other areas. Leave Wee Willie Winkle where he belongs. Ranting on Youtube, as an utter irrelevancy.

    What if we imprison Willie?

I'd personally love to see a handful of orange men walking in circles in front of the prison chanting "Free Willie", "We Love Willie", "Let my Willie Free" etc.

Maybe he's looking for another payoff.

I'd love if Enda met him and gave him a Stone Cold Stunner.

Hes tried to run for Assembly in the North unsuccessfully.

    He just loves attention.

Hes has no business marching in Dublin.

Do you even remember what happened last time or are you just being glib because you don't know who he is?

Everyone should dress up like other fruit and march with them. Tiocfaidh ar fruit salad.

I think the people of Galway would just ignore him. We're a relaxed lot.

Let him march. No closing roads or anything. If he, or his merry band, steps on the road, do him for jaywalking (if there is such a charge).

Let him march on a busy pavement, jostled by shoppers. Why should we close roads to traffic for this little loon?

Would be great if we let him and everyone completely ignored him. His bus drives down oconnell street and no one gives it a second look as they go about their shopping

Willie is like the acoustic guitar guy at a house party. If everyone ignores him he'll hopefully shut up and **** off.

Dublin is hardly a stronghold of fenians is it? he should march through rural tyrone or derry or somewhere if he wants to cause negative news headlines for fenians

Let him have his march. Tell him that the cost to police it will be €2 million and that cost must be paid before any March can take place.

I'm impressed by their obsession with 400 year old history and I think these Love Ulster marchers should be rewarded for their courage in coming to Dublin to show their love for their culture. Every attendee of the march should be recognised as an honorary Irish citizen.

Frazer should be sectioned under the mental health act.

The guy obviously has serious problems.

Let him March in Dublin, but secretly arrange an anti-water charges/anti-austerity protest for the same time and place.

Sit back and enjoy the show.

Willie rolls in a tank these days. Now how does a man on disability afford a tank?

And have RTE interview him , but only to find why he is protesting against water charges.

Why shouldn't they be allowed March through dublin, it would hardly be the first time seeing as its headquarters were based in dublin in the past.

I almost feel sorry for him. Its sad that a man can become so bitter.

He is clearly unstable, I would think he needs serious counselling/treatment.

Sit back and watch our capital city get torn to bits? No thanks. That's exactly what Frazer wants.
