i've noticed quite a big of movement on mine - for new wheels it's unacceptable, novatec hubs, carbon clinchers. i've the brake calipers opened out to the max

what's anyone's advice on how to approach the shop that sold me these? the back wheel moves up to an 3/4 of an inch and audibly rubs with pressure on.

Do the hubs have a bearing preload that might need some adjustment? What type of spokes were used in the build? Do you possibly need a thicker gauge spoke for your style of riding/weight? Which lacing pattern has been used?

I cant answer the first q. Spokes are steel blades it seems, 24 hole hub, 12 and 12. I'm 75kgs

Make of wheel is graphit, 50mm carbon clincher

Is this 3/4 inch play detected by holding up the back wheel and rocking it laterally side to side? If so then I'd suggest that it's an issue with a bearing.

If it's a Novatech hub with catridge bearings then one or more bearings could be worn/damaged.

Definately a case of back to the shop with the wheels and let them sort it out.
