I have been awarded planning permission for an extension to my house. The plans were submitted and awarded.

The architect that designed is living abroad now, so I'm not sure what my next move is? From what I read i need a set of construction drawings as part of the this new BCMS progress and i need to appoint a contractor and an engineer, + health and safety statement.

    anything else?

    Thanks

Seek a local engineer/architects input they will advise.

Try to get the AutoCad files from the original architect. It will save your new designer having to draw them from scratch.

you would generally only be entitled to a pdf of the drawings.

personally i would prefer to draw from scratch anyway as planning drawings are not construction drawings, and another designers drawing conventions maybe incompatible with mine.
