Replace Driver Side Brake Light Cluster Nissan Almera

    Hi,

My girlfriend reversed her 04 Almera into the corner of the window sill, smashing the brake light cluster on the driver side.

I've sourced a replacement cluster from a scrappy and I'm wondering what's involved in replacing the cluster myself?

I'm not with the car at the moment (its with my GF) so I can't take a look and size up the job myself.

Just wondering if anyone has done it before? Is it DIY-able? What is involved (step by step)? And links to guides or videos (Google and youtube not throwing up much)

    Thanks in advance

    Gav

In general this is a simple job. Never done it on an almera, but a generic step by step would be

Remove carpet/cover in the boot covering the back of the light cluster

There should be 3 or 4 nuts/bolts exposed. Remove these

Disconnect the wiring harness. Usually a multi pin plug

    Remove the old cluster.

Fitting new cluster is reversal of the above steps

    * edit* actually here you go

Nice one Cletus. Had a gander at the back of the new cluster and yeah, seems pretty much as described there.

    Thanks
