    Ive been called for duty in Parkgate Street in the next few weeks, just wondering has anyone experience of parking within Phoenix Park, as public transport is impracticle as I will have a long spin to work after being discharged each day (if I am)?

    Is the Park available and safe / convenient to park in for the day?

    Thanks

    Parking on Chesterfield Avenue roadside is fine and seemed safe. Lots of others doing it when I was on jury duty 2 years ago. Can be busy in the morning so it could be a 10/15 min walk from parking spot to court

    * Bus Éireann 4, X4, 7, X8, X12, 20, 22, 23, 115/a, 120, 121, 123, 124, 126, 130
    * Mortons Coaches - Westmoreland Street - Citywest
    * Martin Furey - 823
    * Citylink 763

    There is a garage/car salesroom a minute away across the road on Conyngham Road near the bus depot. They do car parking for €1 an hour. Dead handy for the courts.

    Thanks but as i said, none of those are suitable to return me to work in good time after selection ends each day, i do 'realise' how well connected it is.

    Jury Duty does come before work everyday... most people I found just didn't go back to work after they weren't selected. I got selected on Day 1 so it didn't matter too much but we were discharged on day 2 at lunchtime so I did go back.

    Grand etc if you're self employed and its your own business, but if you work for someone they cannot expect you back by a certain time. You may very well end up on a 3 week trial (I just missed one).

    There are all sorts of laws preventing employers from taking advantage of employees having to do Jury Duty.
