Automatic battery charger

I recently bought one of these but am a little confused by the instructions.

I was of the thinking that fully automatic meant that once charged it would automatically trickle charge, the instructions state to turn off once the battery is charged, where's the automatic bit come in here ??

If you read the comments on Amazon, loads of them say it switches off when fully charged. So I guess its safe to leave it. As the voltage drops, it should kick back in.

Only way you'll know for sure is to try it

Its a standard charger, not a smart charger.
The Automatic presumably means it switches itself off once full charge is attained.
Non-auto chargers keep charging until switched off manually or the battery boils dry.
Smart chargers are different, I have a couple of them for Motorcycles, Optimate and a Louis Procharger XL
Both of them can be left for extended periods to keep the battery charged.
C-tek are also very good.
