Galaxy S5 - Would replacing phone part void insurance?

Friend has an S5 and dropped in 5 months ago and a bit srapped and dinged on one of the corners. Not affecting phone performance or anything but annoying all the same. Would replacing the phone chassis (which includes this edge bezel and would give a fix to the cosmetic issue) void phone insurance you think?

Check with Samsung. It might have to be carried out by a repair shop authorised by them for it to not void warranty.
