Anybody Painted Wall Tiles ?

    Hi All

I can find a few threads regarding the above, but they're quiet old. Bought my first place nearly a year ago, and in the bathroom there are these horrible mosaic effect blue tiles. They don't have any pattern/texture to them other than the mosaic effect, but they do still feel slightly rough to touch.

I'm not a big fan of the mosaic effect, but no amount of paint is going to get rid of that unfortunately ! I'd like to paint them white gloss, and I'm just wondering:

    1. After painting, will they still have the slightly rough texture that they have now, or will they be smooth ?
    2. If the texture might still come through, would sanding them first be advisable ?
    3. Maybe a stupid question, but will the tiles look like genuine tiles afterwards, or will it be obvious that they are painted ? I've done some googling, but of course I've no way of knowing which ones are genuine results
    4. If anybody has done this before, and wouldn't mind posting some pictures of the results, that would be fantastic.

    Thanks in advance
