Squarespace Interview

    Hi everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I've applied for a Customer Services position with Squarespace's Dublin branch. Luckily, having completed on-line assessments, I've been called to interview. I'm just wondering if anyone has any advice on what attire to wear to this interview? I've a suit at home, if needs be, but part of me feels I may be overdressed wearing this.

Usually, I would always wear a suit, nice tie and polished shoes to an interview, however thus far the selection process has been very informal - my cover letter featured jokes and quotations as they really stressed about letting your personality come across in the application process. I wasn't going to show-up to the interview in a Tom Petty t-shirt and pair of cons, but I thought a suit may be overly formal for this interview. I was thinking of dressing more so smart/casual.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Suit. Always a suit.

Squarespace pride themselves on style. Their product looks and feels the part, you should too.

Thanks for taking the time to forward on your advice, I appreciate it. I was rather unsure on the interview formalities for more 'modern' companies (Squarespace, Google, Linkedin etc.) and have heard mixed reports of the interview process. I've discovered that they tend to ask more creative and personality based questions ("If you were a cereal what would you be and why?") alongside competency based questions.

I'm fine on my competencies, knowledge of the product/company and would like to think I could think on my feet with curve ball questions, but by any chance would you know any more on the Squarespace interview process? Just trying to have as much ammo as possible for the interview.
