Hi all, We've a nice detached family home in a popular area. We're thinking of selling and trading down. It looks as though it could cost up to 10k to use an auctioneering firm. Is this money well spent - any experience of DIY sales, pitfalls, etc? Thanks

I'm in the middle of buying a house privately.

All good so far only snag was a planning retention issue.
