Adding text to photos?

Does anyone know if a text, including time/date can be added to photos saved in an album in the usual iPad/iPhone photos app? I'd prefer to do it within the default app and save to an album within this rather than downloading another app and having to make copies of existing photos if possible. Thx in advance for your feedback!

Home & Sleep simultaneously will take a screenshot ( of your message ) and auto save to picture roll. Do with it then as you will.

Thanks dodzy, that's not what I meant however. I mean if I take a photo, & want to say add a text to it such as "ABC's birthday dinner in Dublin", can this be added to photos within the app/album? I googled this and can't tell if it's possible or not, just see recommendations for external apps rather than tips for applying text within the default apple photos app.

Ah, not possible within the app. You'll need an external app.
