Laneway into new build - Concrete or chip & Tar?

    Hi All,
We are building a new house at the minute. There is a private laneway into the house which is approx. half a mile long!! It is just rough stone with a few pot holes!!

We need to get something done with the laneway. We are thinking off laying concrete on it instead of chip and tar. There will be a fair few tractors and other heavy machinery using the laneway. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations?

    Cheers..

Sounds like a big enough job. Get an engineer to give you advice on the required buildup. This will depend on the weight of vehicles, frequency of use and the ground conditions. Water level and cbr results.

A geotextile solution would be cheaper than concrete slab or blacktop, but it may not be suitable for your usage.
