This year I did very little shooting so I booked the last day off work and told the family I will not be around on Saturday. At 7 am I hit a pond I fed all week shot a nice pair of mallard then back home for food headed back out to go beat at a local driven shoot had a blast the dog worked well, steady on the whistle plenty of birds I was well looked after fed well had a savage day finished the shoot at 3pm. Asked the keeper can I hunt the boundrys of the shoot no problem he said it being the last day of the season and last day ever that this shoot will take place so me and my mate hunted for 2 hours and shot 8 cocks. Then it was the short drive home to get the rifles not must time for a stalk but we gave it ago we saw nothing so home at 6 all I wanted was to relax in a bath legs were killing me only in the bath 10 mins i get a phone call from another shooting buddy asking to help him lamp foxs on a horse stud so off I was back out the door at 7 we finished up at 11pm with 6 foxs and a mink. What a last day and a day to remember and to end the season on roll on 2015 season
