Wanted: 26" MTB rear wheel (or front & rear set)

    The bearings & freehub on my rear wheel are buggered and the replacement cost & difficulty in sourcing parts means I'd probably be better off replacing the wheel. So, does anyone have either a rear wheel or set of wheels to sell? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a decent reliable rear wheel or a set of wheels. I assume that I'm looking for 26"wheels since I bought the bike in 2008. Also, standard quick release rather than Thur axle.

    Hi Koobcam,

    I have a Mavic Crossride wheelset for rim brakes....if that is what you need. Link below to the spec on rosebikes

    They are used but have some life left in them yet. I had them as a second set with slick tyres before I gort rid of the MTB. Would be looking for around 70. Let me know what you think....

    I've a set of Bontrager 26" disc brake complete with Bontrager tyres, brake discs and 11-34 cassette . Would prefer to sell as one unit if possible. They are good as new really , tyres are 2.25" with lots of depth left. Might suit you ?

    I have a rear wheel, white Halo Combat 36h rim (disc only), black db spokes onto a black SLX 9spd hub (standard QR).
    The hub is centrelock, not 6bolt, but I'll fit a new XTR 160mm disc.
    Wheel is in excellent condition, only used a few times, built in Humphreys in Finglas. No cassette.

    Yes they are Bontrager , they came on a Trek 6300.

    Where are you based? I live in Newbridge, work in UCD. Any haggle room on price-I suppose it kind of depends on the condition of tyres/cassette etc. Maybe you can send me a PM and we can make some arrangements?
