    Hey,

Myself & 6 mates ( all lads ) are traveling to Thailand in July for 3 weeks. None of us have ever been. Can anybody give us some insight as to what to do on the islands and if we're going to be spending for little or too much time on them? What's the normal amount of spending money considering all hotels are paid for as we go.

    Arrive Bangkok - 2 nights

Fly to Surat Thani ( khao sok national park ) - 2 nights

    Phuket - 4 nights

    Phi Phi - 4 nights

    Koh Samui - 4 nights

Koh Phangan ( full moon period ) - 4 nights

Fly back to Bangkok - 1 night & then home.

That's our rough itinerary for the trip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Seems an awful lot of travelling, looks like you're trying to do everything in on trip instead of just picking a few places and doing them in more depth. Spending 8 nights in Phi Phi and Phangan is over doing it, better off staying in Phuket and Samui respectively and doing an overnight to both, hotels are cheap so a double book is no harm. It also gives you more flexibility if you actually like somewhere and want to stay for a bit longer. For a lads holiday I'd stay a few more nights in Bangkok and drop Khao Sak.

where abouts are you staying? Some of the places you are going are a decent size.

Rent some mopeds and kill off a few of your mates, its customary in Thiland. I had a great accident.

Phi Phi, Phuket and Koh Phangan can be very very grimy, prepare for some STd's on a lads holiday. Go to watch a ox fight on Koh Samui, do some muai thai (anywhere) there are massive fights in bangkok if you are there on the right day. Without knowing your travel dates i cant check. Make sure every single taxi driver uses their meter, they just wont on Koh Samui or Phuket as they are mafia run scum. Rent a jetski from Phuket but take photos of it before you leave as they can and do accuse young lads of breaking them. You can pay a local to bring you out on a long tail boat deep sea fishing which is great craic. DO NOT GET CAUGHT WITH DRUGS. If you do, pay yerman there and then discretely. 100 euro on the side of the road would save you 6 years in a terrible prison.
