Anyone on here using the granular lime instead of the fine lime ?? If so what you think about it ........problem is got soil tested and the ph is seriously low in a few of the silage fields and they reckon the granural works a lot faster looking for quick fix for this incoming season

I use it I am impressed with it. If your ph's are very low you can use
    http://www.irishlime.com/our-products/quicklime/growmax

this is a burnt lime product so make sure to spread in moist weather. It is about 180/ton but has a TNV about 60-70% higher than gran lime. Disadvantage is if your ph's were high( not an issue for you) it could alkaline your ground . However as with all agri limes but especially with this make sure it will not get wet before spreading.

    Using ohisolith here.
It is a soil inhancher also. Think it is great..gets old leys more patable.
Discussion group member who is stocked very high on his milking platform uses it.
Goes with 24 units of N every round instead of 27 and is saving that way as a result
